The Revers Center for Energy and the Dartmouth Energy Collaborative is excited to host the next talk for the Financing the New Energy Economy Speaker Series featuring Curtis Probst, Co-CEO, New York City Energy Efficiency Corporation (the oldest green bank in the US, based in NYC).

Curtis will discuss important trends in “green banks” and their role in financing the clean energy transition in a talk titled: “Financing the Clean Energy Transition and the Role of State and Local Green Banks.” Financing the transition to a clean energy economy represents both an enormous challenge and an unprecedented opportunity. The frameworks and instruments of finance are evolving to meet this need, and green banks are playing an important role on the national level in some countries and on the state and local level in the US.
Curtis Probst is the Co-CEO of New York City Energy Efficiency Corporation: an innovative public-private-philanthropic partnership with a mission to deliver clean energy financing solutions. He joined the leadership of NYCEEC in 2018. Previously, he served as a Managing Director and Head of Sustainable Finance at Rocky
Mountain Institute, a leading energy think tank. Before joining RMI, Curtis worked on Wall Street for 24 years, most recently as a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and Head of Corporate Structured Finance in their investment banking division. He previously served as a Managing Director in their fixed income, currency and commodities division. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Curtis was a Vice President in the structured and project finance group of Salomon Brothers.
Curtis received a BComm from the University of Calgary and an MPA from Columbia University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He has spoken at numerous conferences in the United States, Canada and Europe, and authored or co-authored reports on various financing topics. Curtis has also served on the board of several organizations – academic, for-profit, and not-for-profit. In addition to his other roles, Curtis has been an adjunct lecturer at Columbia University for four years.

The Revers Center for Energy will sponsor a one-day career trek to visit three energy firms where Tuck alumni share their experience building their energy careers. Priority will be given to Energy Club students who have expressed interest in exploring energy fields but this opportunity is open to all Tuck students. Kathy Baughman McLeod, Director, The Adrienne Arsht – Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center at the Atlantic Council will visit Tuck for Professor Anant Sundaram's Business and Climate Change course. In her role as Director, she leads creation and execution of the Center’s strategy to achieve its goal of reaching one billion people worldwide with resilience solutions to the challenges of climate change, migration, and security by 2030. She is also the former senior vice president, Global Environmental & Social Risk, for Bank of America. In this role, she helped use the bank’s global reach to advance low carbon and climate resilient investments toward reaching the bank’s commitment of deploying $125 billion in capital by 2025. There will be opportunities for office hours and a dinner through the Visiting Executive Program.
