Tuck’s Revers Center for Energy, Center for Private Equity and Entrepreneurship, and the Irving Institute for Energy and Society, sponsor a lunch time talk with Chris Poirier, Partner, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, an investor-led fund formed by Bill Gates’ Breakthrough Energy Coalition. BEV’s mission is to accelerate commercialization of energy innovation and technology to combat climate change. Their areas of focus include: grid-scale storage, liquid fuel, micro-/mini-grids, alternative building materials, and geothermal. Their strategy links cutting-edge, government-funded research to patient, risk-tolerant capital so that more clean energy innovations get to market faster.

Join the Feldberg librarians and Thayer professor Amro Farid to learn about what resources are available to you to understand and solve the world's energy problems. Professor Farid will describe Platts Map Data Pro and discuss some potential applications for its use. The librarians will share some of the energy resources that The Library provides to support your energy and society research and learning. Get introduced to resources that provide energy data, news, market information, analysis, companies, technologies, mapping energy assets, infrastructure, forecasts, commodities, economics, policies to explore legacy and new energy sectors including oil, gas, coal, electricity, renewables, solar, wind, bio-power, hydro, geothermal, and nuclear!

Dartmouth Energy Collaborative Lunch - Tuck’s Energy Case Competition Team
The Tuck Case Competition seeks to present real business cases from some of the world's most innovative companies. This past Fall, Tuck welcomed student teams from 11 of the world’s top business schools with a case written by Tesla, Inc. Come and hear the Tuck student team pitch that reimagines the relationship between driver, and the car of the future. The student organizers and case team will also share their experience of being involved in a student-led initiative. Moderated by April Salas, Executive Director, Revers Center for Energy at Tuck. The Revers Center for Energy will co-host Tim Healy T’02 with the Center for Private Equity and Entrepreneurship. Since co-founding EnerNOC over 16 years ago, Tim has led its growth from a promising clean energy startup to a publicly-traded energy management powerhouse, culminating in its recent combination with the global energy company Enel. Tim has played an instrumental role in the clean energy industry and the Northeast region’s business community. He has mentored dozens of clean energy leaders building exciting new ventures and has supported hundreds of next generation jobseekers entering the industry from top universities, incubators, and the innovation ecosystem. He was a founding board member of NECEC and its national partner Advanced Energy Economy, is part of Boston’s Green Ribbon Commission and an Executive Council member of TechNet, and has been a leading voice in promoting clean energy and innovation policy at the state and federal levels, among many other accomplishments.
